The 26th of September is the EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES and the Bilingual Programme together with the English, French and Latin Departments at IES Mayorazgo would like to raise awareness of the great linguistic diversity of our continent. These are some of the activities we have done:
-Using speech bubbles, some students from ESO classes wrote different expressions from European languages
-The 3rd ESO students in their English class did a EUROPEAN CULTURAL FAIR with stands showing interesting facts of several European countries (official languages, famous writers, their works, etc). A few ESO classes had the chance to visit these stands and ask their peers questions about the country.
-The 2nd ESO students in their French class made a poster with this year’s motto in French: ‘LES LANGUES OUVRENT NOS COEURS ET NOS ESPRITS’
-The 1st Bachillerato students made a poster showing how Latin is the mother of many European languages.
