BÉKÉSCSABA (HUNGARY) / MÁLAGA (SPAIN)
Six secondary school students and two teachers from Békéscsaba in Hungary visited Málaga andour school from the 18th to the 22nd of May as part of an Erasmus+ project on sustainability and inclusion. The Hungarian students and teachers and some of our students from 4º E.S.O. had an online meeting the week before their visit.
Once they were in our school, our students showed them around the facilities of I.E.S. Mayorazgo and explained some aspects of the Spanish education system. The Hungarian students also presented their school and town. As to the topics of sustainability and inclusion, both the Hungarian and the Spanish students worked together to see what it means to be a sustainable and inclusive society.
The Spanish students were tour guides of some landmarks in Málaga city centre. The Hungarian students attended a French class which that day happened to be on how to cook real French crêpes. This is just the second chance we have had to strengthen the relationship between Békéscsabai Belvárosi Általános Iskola és Gimnázium and I.E.S. Mayorazgo.
We hope to have many more in the future. The students could use English as a real tool of communication and realise how useful it can be to improve their linguistic skills in oral comprehension and expression. Volleyball games on the beach were also a part of the shared after-school activities.
Here are some pictures of some of the best moments we spent together. Köszönöm
